ABOUT ME
I’m Garret Golden, a licensed Real Estate Salesperson with Real Broker NY, a Certified Real Estate Planner, and a Certified Senior Relocation Specialist. My mission is to help seniors and their families navigate one of life’s biggest transitions with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
With a background in tax and accounting (MBA in Tax & Accounting from Baruch College, Fordham University BA in Economics), I bring a unique perspective that goes far beyond buying and selling homes. I specialize in helping families understand the financial, tax, and estate-planning implications of their next move; whether that means aging in place, rightsizing to a smaller home, or exploring senior living options on Long Island.
This work is deeply personal to me. Having walked alongside my own family through the challenges of senior transitions, I understand the emotional and financial weight these decisions carry. That’s why I built my practice on education first, sales second. My goal is to empower you with knowledge, resources, and clear options so you can make the best decision for your family’s future.
As part of The Complete Real Estate Group, I also partner with trusted local professionals to provide a true one-stop solution — from decluttering and organizing, to handling donations, to advanced planning strategies like 1031 exchanges and Delaware Statutory Trusts.
When you work with me, you’re not just getting a real estate agent. You’re gaining a planner, an advocate, and a partner who will treat your family as my own.

Why Choose a Real Estate Planner?
What Is a Real Estate Planner?
Most real estate agents focus on transactions. A Real Estate Planner focuses on your life goals and financial future. We look beyond the immediate sale or purchase to understand how real estate fits into your broader wealth-building and life planning strategy.
This approach is especially valuable for Long Island seniors and families facing major life transitions—downsizing, probate, divorce, job relocation, or wealth preservation. Every decision is made with your long-term success and peace of mind in focus.
Why Choose a Real Estate Planner?
Do you already know a Real Estate Agent? The answer for most people is: Yes. Often there is a family member or close friend who has a real estate license or even someone you have used in the past. What we often see is people focusing on the current need to buy or sell their home and missing out on how the purchase or sale fits into their long-term real estate goals and reacting later in life.
As a Real Estate Planner, our approach to Long Island real estate is different. While a Real Estate Agent will focus on finishing the current transaction, a Real Estate Planner helps ensure your current purchase or sale and future decisions you make throughout your lifetime help to achieve your long-term real estate goals. You will be amazed at the difference a Real Estate Planner can make.

A for-sale-by-owner (FSBO) transaction requires time, know-how and confidence. If you’re not sure that you have all three, enlisting the services of an agent — a professional who knows the ins and outs of listing and selling homes successfully — pays off. * Agents Avoid Emotional Sales • Agents Weed Out Unqualified Buyers • Agents Negotiate Price
